FABRIC DISCOVERY's ACI5.1 # BEFORE YOU BEGIN :
Make sure that all switches in the fabric are physically connected and booted.
# FUNCTIONALITY : A manually entered (in APIC) but unregistered switch has an original status of Undiscovered until it is physically connected to the network. Once connected, the status changes to Discovered.
# CHECK AFTER THE REGISTER NODE ID : Fabric > Fabric Membership > Registered Node > You can check the status of New Node ID status by click on Refresh button. If display the Active status then you check on POD 1 option under menu of Fabric.
# PRACTICAL-1 : How to Register the Node ID for topology (Only for Spin & Leaf ).
: Fabric > Inventory > Fabric Membership > Nodes Pending > Right click on TEP-1 > Register > Fill the Register Wizard (Register)
# PRACTICAL-2 : How to become the active status, if it is not changing inactive to active.
: Fabric > Inventory > Fabric Membership > Registered Nodes > Right click on Inactive Node ID > Commission (Yes)
# PRACTICAL-3 : How to insert the IP's of range for all Spin & Leaf switches.
: Tenants > mgmt > Open to Node Management Address > Right click on Static Node Management Address > Create Static Node Management Addresses > Fill the required Wizard (Submit) > Confirm Wizard (Yes)
